TIF Grantees

In Fall 2006, the U.S. Department of Education announced the award of its first round of Teacher Incentive Fund (TIF) grants to support sixteen individual projects. Another eighteen TIF grants were awarded in Spring 2007. Grants were awarded to various state departments of education along with school districts, consortia of schools and districts, as well as nonprofit organizations.

The Teacher Incentive Fund is authorized in P.L. 109-149—the Departments of Labor, Health and Human Services, and Education, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2006, Title V, Part D.
